The COLKS Story
When a group of like-minded, young and enterprising minds got together armed with the passion to create a company that would empower the farming community of the state, the concept of COLKS was born. The Center of Learning, Knowledge & Services (COLKS) was formed with the belief that the livelihood of the rural community would be greatly enhanced with innovative and creative methods of learning and knowledge and an ecosystem that supports sustainable and result driven services. In June 2015, COLKS was established with the motive:
CREATING CHANGE – CHANGING LIVES.
COLKS aims at creating an ecosystem which propagates inclusive economic growth through sustainable environment harvesting by empowering the rural population of a region through innovative and market oriented trainings. Our aim is to empower our farmers/ entrepreneurs to succeed in today’s multifaceted and ever-changing markets by also offering additional services of market linkage and consultations for the product and brand development. By doing so, we hope to create an ecosystem of farmers with sustainable ventures and livelihoods.
COLKS first started out with a group of 30 Farmers who were trained in Apiculture (Bee-Keeping) and now boasts of a community of 7500 Farmers so far who have undergone the varied Agro & Allied Trainings and have gained access to national and international markets through an integrated value & supply chain developed by COLKS.
