COLKS offers training on Assistant Electrician, where it focuses on selecting and using hand power tools and electrical devices relevant to construction of electrical works in basic electrical operations. You will also learn in depth knowledge on how to install and maintain light units, accessories, fixtures and tools for installing and maintaining lighting arrangements used for construction work.
This course is for a duration of 400 hours and it is divided into theory and practical sessions for your better understanding. You will be taught on:
- Selecting and using hand, power tools and electrical devices relevant to construction appropriately in basic electrical operations.
- Selection and use of light units, accessories, fixtures and tools for installing and maintaining lighting arrangements used for construction work.
- Installing LV electrical wiring at permanent structures & basic electrical tests which are performed to inspect wiring.
- Assembling, installing and maintaining temporary LV electrical panels (distribution boards) at construction sites.
- Work effectively in a team to deliver desired results at the workplace
- Plan and organize work to meet expected outcomes.
- Working according to personal health, safety and environment protocol at construction sites.
