Cane and Bamboo Handicraft

COLKS offers Cane and bamboo Handicraft training where you can make various bags, lampshades, trays, etc using cane and bamboo. Due to the abundance of bamboo trees growing over many areas in North East India, these handicrafts are preferred as they are more appealing and eco-friendly than plastic.

During this 6 day course, you will be trained on the step-by-step methods of:

• Technique of weaving.
• How to weave and knit a variety of lightweight and elegant bamboo products.
• Provide knowledge on market demand and supply of the products.
• Variety of designs to make different kinds and sizes of traditional trays, baskets, etc.
